There's always something new at the Book Nook.
Nestled beside the Westlake Village Library, the Book Nook is much more than a used bookstore.
It is a place where neighbors discover affordable used books, readers exchange recommendations, and conversations about books and ideas naturally flourish. Filled with books generously donated by our community, the Book Nook offers an ever-changing selection of fiction, mysteries, history, biographies, children's and young adult books, cookbooks, and many other favorite genres. Our religion and eastern philosophy/spirituality sections are especially popular, and music and movie enthusiasts can often find CDs, DVDs, and other additions to their collections at budget-friendly prices. Audio books are now on our shelves.
One of the joys of browsing the Book Nook is never knowing what unexpected treasure you might find. Our shelves highlight our great selection of current fiction at deeply discounted prices. Donations frequently include vintage and collectible books, along with beautiful volumes devoted to art, photography, architecture, and other specialty subjects — waiting to be discovered by just the right reader.
Be sure to check our FREE cart for a rotating selection of academic, foreign-language, and other books as we make room for fresh donations.
But perhaps the very best part of the Book Nook isn't found on our shelves — it's the people who bring it to life. Our wonderful team of volunteers loves books and loves our community. They are always happy to welcome you, chat about favorite authors and recent discoveries, help you track down a particular title, or introduce you to a new reading adventure you might never have considered. Many of our customers stop by as much for the friendly conversation as they do for the books.

Inventory & Prices
Because our inventory comes from donations generously provided by our community, the Book Nook is constantly changing. Most books are priced to make reading very affordable and accessible to everyone.
When we receive current bestsellers, highly sought-after titles, or books in especially high demand, we may price them somewhat higher to reflect their market value while still offering excellent savings compared with retail prices. Attentive browsers may occasionally discover a vintage edition, collectible volume, or specialty title that's truly one of a kind — some high-value or specialty books are offered through our eBay shop. Local buyers can pick up their eBay purchase at the shop to avoid shipping costs.
Looking for a particular title or author? Just ask — our volunteers will add it to our Book Wish List and set it aside for you when it comes in. A $2 service fee applies.
